I'm Chris Corbet
Video creator, photographer, outdoor lover and overlanding & road trip junkie. My day job is a digital content creator & video marketing specialist, helping forward thinking brands to get the best from their online presence. I Provide a bespoke content creation and digital marketing service, including Google Ads, YouTube advertising, SEO, WordPress design and social media management, mostly in the tourism, tech and real estate spaces.
Background
Born in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia back then), I moved to Cape Town in the 80’s where I met my beautiful Cape Town born wife Birgit, and started a family. In 1999 I started a company, Synergize Digital, that grew into one of the most respected agencies in the country with a staff of 50 and a global client base, winning several awards for our work. Acquired by the Publicis Group in 2013, Synergize was merged with Saatchi & Saatchi, becoming the hub of their global digital marketing offering, with offices in London, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Budapest. I served there as a director until 2016.
In 2018 I launched a boutique digital marketing & design consultancy, Kangela, geared towards meeting the demands of the mobile age. These days, operating under my personal brand, I've become more active in the creation of original and authentic video and photographic content. With the massive growth in video over the past few years, it's my firm belief that video is the future of digital marketing.

Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, between South Africa, Botswana and Namibia visit in May 2024. No tar roads, no mobile phone reception and no internet for 6 nights! We experienced some of our best game sightings ever, with an incredible, close up lion encounter and a lone cheetah, all to ourselves. And, some of the least productive game viewing days we've experienced, with km after km of empty loneliness.
The Kgalagadi can bless those who make the effort to visit with awesome game viewing, as much as it can disappoint. But one thing it ALWAYS delivers is a genuine wilderness, one of the last authentic wild spaces in the country, if not the world.
What's With This Symbol in The Logo?
The "Triquetra" or Trinity Knot, is an ancient symbol, revered by the Celtic people, which was adopted as a symbol of the Holy Trinity by early Irish Christians in the 4th century. So it's a symbol that goes back to my Irish Celtic roots and has great meaning in my Christian life. It can also be used to indicate the "3 pillars" which govern my business offering: Creativity. Technology. Innovation. So it's a pretty meaningful logo!
